Consumer‘s Behaviour Regarding Cashless Payments during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Purpose: The objective of the paper was to define current attitudes Poles vs. cashless transactions and their perception related risk Covid-19 infection. Design/Methodology/Approach: research method involved a survey, tool survey questionnaire distributed by agency. target-amount selection procedure applied sample structure corresponds Polish population with respect studied features. included 1000 respondents. Findings: (of consumers) were less willing pay cash during pandemic than beforehand. This is avoiding contact cash, as well easy documentation transactions, increasing transparency. During consumers more shop at online shops or retail services (e.g. Allegro) foreign ones (e.g., AliExpress). However, study shows that customers are cautious in shopping decisions pandemic, being afraid lose financial liquidity. Practical Implications: led landslide changes consumer behaviours habits.
